Taylor was a full blooded chocolate lab. She was a very beautiful dog. My husband Brad got her when he was 15 years old. He taught her all kinds of tricks. She could sit, lay down, shake, fetch, release, stay and several other tricks. When my husband and I got together Taylor was 6 years old. I have two sons by a previous marriage, Zack was 6 and Tyler was 2 when Brad and I got together so they grew up with Taylor. Taylor would play soccer with the boys, play fetch, and chase. The boys loved her so much!!! The past few months Taylors health had been getting bad she had gotten arthritis in her hips, having a hard time hearing and was going blind. It was so sad to see her like this. This past week she went down hill fast she quit eating and drinking. All she would do was lie around and do nothing. We had decided to have her put to sleep we hated to see her suffer like she was but when we came home from work on Thursday, March 11, 2010 she had passed away. We were devastated...we expected it to happen but it was still so hard. She was a part of our family who we deeply loved so much. We will miss our Taylor so much!!! Rest in peace Taylor girl!!!xxxxx

Christmas Poem

It's Christmas time, the gifts are wrapped,
And piled beneath the tree,
Yet every year there's an absence,
That is only felt by me.

I prepare the table for the feast
And bow my head in prayer,
I try best to hide my grief,
For the child that is not there.

We raise our glasses for a toast,
To family and to friends,
But all that I am wishing for,
Is to hold you once again.

Dear Father Christmas
I write to you today
This is my Christmas wish for you
From very far away
I hope I don’t confuse you
As I’m not asking for clothes or toys
And I know you’re very busy
Reading letters from girls and boys
My request is oh-so simple
And elves cannot fulfil this quest
All I ask for is a visit to my family
To put their minds at rest
Just to sit inside your sleigh
So my wings don’t start to tire
A lift to my families home
Is all that I require

Easter Means Eternal Life
A perfect God demands a perfect justice;
He cannot let us get away with sin.
We used God’s gift of our free will to trespass,
So heaven’s gates were closed; we couldn’t get in.
Our sin required our blood, a sacrifice,
To atone for all the wrongs that we had done.
"But I love them!" cried our Father, filled with sorrow;
"I’ll send my only Son to be the one."
Good Friday marks the slaying of our Jesus,
The unblemished lamb, the perfect sacrifice.
He took our guilt and blame upon Himself,
So we could be with Him in paradise.
On Easter morning, he came back from death;
He vanished from the tomb, the empty grave.
His resurrection means eternal life
For us, the ones he came to earth to save.
This summarizes all the Easter story
And because of it, we’ll be with Him in glory.

Precious Love
The agony is so great...
and yet I will stand it.
Had I not loved so very much...
I would not hurt so much.
But God knows I would not want to diminish
that precious love...
By one fraction of an ounce.

Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.
